There are many types of hairdressing scissors on the market, but in recent years, we have seen many products with misleading country of origin markings. For example, there is a case that product is made outside of Japan using only Japanese steel but the product is sold with a marking “JAPAN” as if it is made in Japan.

At HSC, we use the following criteria to determine the country of origin: 1) the place where the steel is produced, 2) the place where the heat treatment process and machining process are carried out, and 3) the place where the finishing (sharpening) process is carried out. If all of the above are made in Japan, we mark “MADE IN JAPAN” as a Japanese product, so you can purchase safely.

When purchasing, please check the country of origin information carefully, and if you have any questions, please ask the manufacturer.
